Company History
IPR
Drilling Services was formed in 1987 by Philip Rands, who, following
an extended period in the drilling industry, both in the UK and
abroad, purchased drilling plant and equipment in order to offer
his own service directly to clients.
After a number of years in the construction industry, IPR have
specialised in water related projects, drilling Water Wells for
various companies i.e. Spring Water Bottlers, fisheries, hospital,
pharmaceutical manufacturers, golf courses, horse racing tracks,
farms, hotels, caravan sites, private dwellings, etc, throughout
the UK. Many of the larger contracts have been for West of Scotland
Water and North of Scotland Water, now Scottish Water. We are involved
in each project from the consultancy, design and construction through
to the commissioning of the Water Well.
IPR
is also involved in de-watering projects for the Civil Engineering
Industry, having drilled large diameter shell/auger and rotary dewatering
wells on both MEPAS Phase 1 and Phase 2 and the Kelvin Valley Sewer
Pipeline. IPR have also installed wellpoints on numerous contracts
throughout the UK, using both conventional methods and rotary duplex
drilling methods under difficult ground strata conditions.
